Beach Bum

Hi everyone! We finally got to go on a small vacation last week! We spent three beautiful days on the beach in Florida. As you can tell from the picture, Nathan liked the beach! He was facinated with the waves. Austin had a great time swimming in the pool with Grandpa! The weekend was great and I think we all were a little sad to have to come home! Nathan has been doing okay but as usual he gave us a little scare this past Monday. I took him to the peditrician because he had a little congestion. She sent us to the hospital for a chest x-ray and a RSV exam!! She was worried that he had already caught RSV! Luckly that test was negitive but his x-ray showed an infection in the top part of both lungs. They are not sure if it is bacterial or viral but she put him on an antibiotic just in case. He acts like he feels fine his chest just sounds a little congested. We will be getting him the RSV shots beginning next month. Hopefully he won't catch it before then. I have heard they already have some cases going around. We will probaly keep our little guy out of stores as much as possible for a while! On another note....I have been talking to a pedriactric urologist in Baltimare the past few weeks about Nate's kidney stones. He is extremely interested in his case and wants us to make the trip there so he can help Nathan. I am sending all the radiology films to him next week so he can review them. He said he feels the stones are going to have to be surgically removed soon. They are growing at a fairly fast rate. He now has a 5mm stone on his right kidney and he has a 4mm gall stone as well. If this doctor can help him we will be traveling soon. I haven't said much about this before because we were trying to get all the info. At first it seemed far fetched to think we would really take him that far north but now I believe it will happen. This is the only doctor that seems knowledgeable about Nate's condition. We will do what it takes! We have an appointment Monday with the urologist at childrens...the one whose "monitoring the stones" so we will see if he can give us any info but I seriously doubt he can! I will keep everyone informed as to what we decide.
