Finally an update!!!

I am sorry it has been so long since the last update. Things around here have been extremely busy! Nathan has been doing great. He weighs 8lbs 8oz. We took him to New Orleans yesterday to see a gastrologist who is now taking care of all feeding issues. We changed his formula in order to give him more calories. He had an appointment today at Womans Hospital today for a Barium Swallow test and he did WONDERFUL! HE SUCKED A BOTTLE!!!! He swallowed fine with no aspiration or reflux!! We will be able to start giving him some of his feeds through a bottle now!!! The doctors goal is to have him completely off the tube feedings by Christmas or before! They want to start giving him rice cereal next week in order to put on more weight! Nathan had his first outing on Easter when we went to my mom and dad's for a crawfish boil. He was finally able to see all of his cousins and two of his uncles. They say soon we should be able to take him out more. We are going to begin feeding him without the pump next week and his feeds that usually take an hour will only take about 15 minutes! That will be such a relief to me! Sometimes I feel like all I do is run around and hook or unhook his pump! He is growing so much so fast! He has put the pacifier back in his mouth twice now and he is trying like hell to roll over onto his stomach! He just can't seem to get that one arm out of the way!
